Ruthie Mae Stone

Ruthie Mae Stone, age 80, of Delight, Arkansas, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born on August 25, 1930 in Amity, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Millard and Norma (Garner) Holcomb. Mrs. Stone was a homemaker, quilt maker, and member of the First Baptist Church in Delight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Imon Folsom; and one brother, J.C. Holcomb. She is survived by her husband, Homer Stone of Delight; one daughter, Linda Walters of Delight; one step-son, Richard Stone and wife, Marietta of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Dewayne Gray and wife, Francy of Murfreesboro; and Michelle Smead and husband, Kevin of Daisy, AR; three step grandchildren, Marcus Stone and wife, Karen, David Stone and wife, Kristine, and Robin Stone; two sisters, Pat Dean of Camden, AR, and Tiny Nolen and husband, James of Delight, AR; one sister-in-law, Marie Holcomb of Delight, AR; three great grandchildren, Maria Sanchez, David Giraldo, and Haddon Smead; and five step great grandchildren, Hannah Stone, Micah Stone, Jeremiah Stone, John Mark Stone, and Ava Stone. Several Nieces, Nephews, and friends also mourn her passing. Services will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Delight, AR with Bro Verlon Wood and Bro Kevin Smead officiating. Burial will follow at Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro, AR.
