Darlene Steel

Darlene Steel, 75, of Conway, AR, formerly of Nashville, AR, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at a Conway hospital. She was born March 29, 1936, at Omaha, NE, the daughter of the late Amos and Abbie Davidson Buckles. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Texarkana. Mrs. Steel was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Steel. She is survived by one son, Sid Steel and wife, Marti, of Arkadelphia, AR; one daughter, Cheryl Engelkes and husband, Jack, of Conway, AR; five grandchildren, Nicole Hartz of Little Rock, AR, Abby Engelkes of Conway, AR, Gracie Engelkes of Conway, AR, Rusty Steel of Lafayette, LA and Regan Wakefield of Nashville, AR; and one great-grandchild, Jasmine Wakefield; and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 15, at First United Methodist Church, Nashville, burial in Nashville Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
