Carthel C. Jones

Carthel C. Jones, 76, of Nashville, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at a Nashville hospital. He was born February 1, 1935, the son of the late Cecil Ned and Florence R. Hedrick Jones. He was an Army Veteran and a Kirby Vacuum Distributor for fifty years and tried to retire in 2003. Mr. Jones was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by one brother, Winfred Lee Jones; and one sister, Nina Ruth Rush. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Linda Jones of Nashville, AR; three sons, Doug Jones and wife, Patty, of Arkadelphia, AR, Jeff Jones and wife, Becky, of Murfreesboro, AR and Mark Jones and wife, Janice, of Nashville, AR; five brothers, Joe Edward Jones of Lake Jackson, TX, Bill Jones of Nashville, AR, Paul Jones of Camden, George Jones of Dardanelle, AR, Ronnie Jones of Conway, AR; two sisters, Annie Lou Stewart of Mena, AR and Evelyn Ross of Nashville, AR; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a number of nephews, nieces and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 17, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Bros. Larry Sherman and Jerry Hill officiating, burial in Saratoga Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
