Calvin Owen Mass, Sr.

Calvin Owen Mass, Sr., age 73 of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Hot Springs. He was born on June 29, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Charles Henry Mass and Gladys Mildred Vandermark Mass.

Cal was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Nashville and traveled the United States as a truck driver. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Donna Mass.

Survivors include his son C.J. Mass; four daughters Shelly Mass, Roberta Avery, Ida Laws and Stella Mass; three sisters Susan Marie Mingle, Sandra Kay Cooper, and Sharon Lynn Mass; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Antioch Baptist Church in Nashville. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
