Zelma Hendrix

Zelma Hendrix, age 87, of Delight, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Arkadelphia, AR. She was born on December 17, 1926 in Delight, the daughter of the late James Delaney and Edna (Bradford) Delaney. Mrs. Hendrix was a member of the Delight Church of Christ and a regular attendant at the Murfreesboro Senior Citizen Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hendrix; one daughter, Karen Janice Hendrix; one brother, William Delaney; and two sisters, Tessie McWilliams and Myrtle Byrum. Survivors include her daughter, Jo Hardage of Bismark, AR; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. Services will be on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Delight Church of Christ with Randy Hughes and Wallace Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Murfreesboro Senior Adult Center, 120 Court Street, Murfreesboro, Arkansas 71958. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
