Wayne Reed

Wayne Reed, age 81 of Mt. Carmel, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1936 in Nathan, Arkansas the son of the late Clarence and Mamie Greenhaw Reed. Mr. Reed was a minister at the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Mineral Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by three brothers Delbert Ben Reed, Vestal Reed, and Jim L. Reed. Survivors include his wife of sixty- two years Lavon Parker Reed of Mt. Carmel, AR; two sons Steve Reed and wife Ellen of Mt. Carmel, AR; Kerry Reed and wife Sandra of Mt. Carmel, AR; six grandchildren Eric Reed, Jason Tipton, Michelle Young, Crystal Smith, Sara Pace, and Buddy White, and eleven great-grandchildren. As well as one sister Effie Brock of Dierks, AR; Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 20, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Bro. Archie Phillips and Bro. Calvin Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, March 19, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
