Wanda Cooley, age 70, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs. She was born on March 24, 1943, the daughter of the late Vernon McHughes and Daisy (Manning) McHughes. She was a nurses aide for the Murfreesboro Hospital until closure; member of the Murfreesboro Church of Christ; and worked in the gift shop at the KA-DO-HA Indian Village until she passed away. She was a kind, loving, sweet, mother and grandmother who always put her family first. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Billy Mac Cooley to whom she was married 38 years. Survivors include one son, Todd Cooley of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Teresa Jackson of Nashville, and Alisa Moore and husband, David of Bryant, AR; six grandchildren, Todd Cooley, Keifer Cooley, Bradley Jackson, Melissa Jackson, Katie Moore, and Logan Moore; four great-grandchildren, Landon, Hunter, Gunner, and Natalie; and one sister, Jane Brown and husband, Johnny of Schaal, AR. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her extended KA-DO-HA family. Graveside services will be on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park in Nashville with Brother Tommy Mounts officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
