Vahnita Eldrech Spears

Vahnita Eldrech Spears, age 90 of Delight, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 15, 1932 in Delight to the late William Ruel Rather and Minnie Ethel Applegate Rather.

Vahnita attended the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tillman E. Spears, two daughters Judy Faye Hix and Patsy Dale Garner, two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include a daughter Cathy Sumler and husband Ed; one sister Betty Grantz; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Pisgah with Bro. John David Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.
