Mr. Tyreece L. Miller was born on July 11, 1970 in Chicago, IL to Shirley Goodloe Miller and Anthony Johnson. At the age of 3 years old, Tyreece was inspired by his Uncle, Larry Goodloe to play the drums, and his passion for music became his Life�s Dream. By the time he turned 5 years old , he was an accomplished drummer. Tyreece attended Duke Ellington School, Grades K-5, where he performed for many school functions. His greatest performance at this time was with Louis Belsom, honoring the late Duke Ellington at Daily Plaza in downtown Chicago. During grades 6-8 he attended Fredrick Douglas, where he excelled in science, his teacher encouraged him to enter the Chicago Science Fair. His project, the Detergent Challenge, brought to the forefront the effects of phosphates in laundry detergent had on the environment. A certificate of commendation in the field of Ecology was awarded. Tyreece�s step dad, Mr. Jesse Simmons of Chicago, was his biggest influence, when it came to business and money management. The ladies in his life instilled respect for self and others. The men gave him a flare for style. In the early 80�s Tyreece moved to the Schaal Community of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, which put him on the path of the next chapter of his life. Tyreece joined Bright Star Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Alvin Hunter and the Bright Star family, who embraced him. Tyreece attended and graduated from Mineral Springs school. His loving family, teachers, and classmates, alike helped shape and mold him for the world to come. He played football, ran track, was in the FHA school choir, and a class officer. But most of all, he made life-long friends. His passion for music brought Mr. R.T. Porter of Tollett, Arkansas into his life, and together they put rap music in the heart�s and mind�s of all who knew them. Richard Hendrix, Donna Rowlette, Eric Steward, Clint Hamilton, Myra Vaughn, and Eric White were among his many fans.Tyreece and Richard joined the US Navy on the buddy plan, and after basic training, he was assigned to the USS Theodore Roosevelt stationed in Norfork, VA, where he served for six years. A veteran of the first Gulf War, Tyreece�s CO took him under his wings and recommended him for Officer�s Training in the state of Mississippi. He returned to Virginia, Petty Officer 1st Class. While riding the waves of the Pacific, his passion for music, called him in and Tyreece returned to civilian life and resided in Virginia, where he was embraced by some of the music industries best well known artist. In the late 90�s Chicago called him home where he managed his pop�s (Jesse Simmons) livery service and put together his own music studio and recorded his music for all to enjoy. Tyreece�s final journey in life, started in late 2008, when a new dream emerged, he wanted to drive cross country in a big rig. He acquired his CDL and across the country he went. While on the road, he decided he wanted something more. He enrolled in Kaplan University, where he pursued a degree in criminal justice. He was to graduate in the fall of 2013, he maintained a 4.0 grade average, was a member of Honor Society, The Dean�s Life, and after graduation he planned to attend Law School and acquire his degree in Law. Tyreece departed this life on January 21, 2013 at his mother�s home, in the Cottonshed Community of Mineral Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his children, Tyreece and Tyrell Miller; grandfather, Rufus Coulter; Aunt�s Delphine William, Lottie Young, Georgette Robinson Goodloe, and Nancy Mottly; his great grandparents, William and Mamie Goodloe, and Logan and Melisa Coulter; Uncles, Leo, Leon, Clarence, and Denver Goodloe, Roland and Clevelan Coulter, Roger Williams, Adell Lewis; and cousins, Louis and Alexis Robinson, Arron Stewart, and Glen and Margert Johnson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Miller, affectionately known as Big, Schaal, AR, wife, Evelyn of Chicago, Il, mother, Shirley Miller of Schaal, daughters, Jasmine R. Miller of Mineral Springs, Timber Miller of Norfolk, VA, Prayer Lassiter Miller of VA; son Tyreece W. Miller of Norfolk, VA; one stepdaughter, Tyshaun Jones and two stepsons, Tyreece Jones and T.J.
