Sherry Chambers (Penny Jay), age 65 of Nashville, AR; passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2011 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born on January 25, 1946 in Knoxville, Tennessee the daughter of the late William T. and Helen Adams Moyers. She was a Christian. She was the first girl to become a professional country music drummer in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, William T. and Helen Adams Moyers; her grandmother, Edna Louise Glassco. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Joe Chambers Sr. of Nashville, AR; one son, Bobby Chambers II and wife Kim of Nashville, AR; one daughter, Sunny Murphy and husband Billy of Ashburn, VA; two sisters, Gladine Bennett of Nashville, AR; and Polly McCammack and husband Jerry of Nashville, AR; two grandsons, B.J. Chambers of Nashville, AR and Michael A. Murphy of Ashburn, VA; one granddaughter, Christine Murphy of Ashburn, VA; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Bobby Joe Chambers Sr., age 74 formerly of Nashville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Ashburn, Virginia. He was born on September 28, 1943 in McCaskill, Arkansas the son of the late Willie and Gladys Mimms Chambers. Mr. Chambers was Christian, he played for the Chicago Cubs, college basketball, he loved bowling and playing softball. He worked for many years at the Nashville News as a printer, and the newspaper media. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Chambers; his wife, Sherry Chambers; two sisters, Darlene Chambers, and Becky Rockenbach; and a brother in law, Bob Rockenbach. Survivors include one son, Bobby Chambers II and wife Kim of Nashville, AR; one daughter, Sunny Murphy and husband Billy of Ashburn, VA; two sisters, Gladine Bennett of Nashville, AR; and Polly McCammack and husband Jerry of Nashville, AR; two grandsons, B.J. Chambers of Nashville, AR; Michael A. Murphy of Ashburn, VA; one granddaughter, Christine Murphy of Ashburn, VA; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Memorial services for both Sherry and Bobby Chambers will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville. With Rev. Ron Morris, and Rev.
