Shauna Ponton

Shauna Ponton, age 61, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 in Houston, Texas. She was born on April 15, 1957 in Poteau, France, the daughter of Faye Bailey Cheek and the late Huey Cheek. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. One of her favorite hobbies was sailing with her husband Howell. Mrs. Ponton was preceded in death by one daughter Kaylan Summer Brown, and her father Huey Cheek. Survivors include her husband Howell Ponton of Houston, TX; one daughter Season Hendrix of Billstown, AR; her mother Faye Cheek of Delight, AR; one brother Roger Cheek of Murfreesboro, AR; one sister Carol Bright of Glenwood, AR; two grandsons Austin Gauge Kuykendall of Houston, TX; Tristen Lee Nash of Billstown, AR; as well as a number of friends. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M., until service time, Friday, December 21, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 21, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, with Bro. Danny Eckert officiating, burial will follow in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
