Ruth Bryant

Ruth Bryant, age 85 of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on December 3, 1932 in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Elizabeth Roberts O'Brink. Mrs. Bryant graduated from Ozark High School and served as the class treasurer. She was preceded in death by a brother Thomas O'Brink, a sister Sue Lee Bugg, two daughters Wayna Elder and Karen Lindsey, and one step son John L. Bryant Jr. Survivors include her husband John L. Bryant of Fort Smith, AR; one daughter Elizabeth Scott of Ft. Smith, AR; two step daughters Jan Hearnsberger of El Dorado, AR; Doris Pursell of Tulsa, OK; one sister Mary Shaffer of Portugal; thirteen grandchildren, as well as a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 23, at Ozan Cemetery in Bingen with Bro. Al Terrell officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
