Rubye Belle Croom, 91, of Nashville, AR, went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2013 in Bryant, AR. She was born on April 7, 1921 in Pine Bluff, AR, the daughter of James F. Worthen and Georgia Belle (Evans) Worthen. Rubye was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville, AR and pianist at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Mineral Springs, AR. After her retirement as restaurant owner, she enjoyed volunteering as pianist at local nursing homes, senior centers, and Churches. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and her husband, Jim Croom. Surviving are two sons, Clyde Douglas Holmes and John Paul and Susan Ringo both of Bryant, AR; two daughters, Marissa and Mike Collins of Gainesville, TX and Rebecca Smith and Doug Richards of Little Rock, AR. She has 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Rubye was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Services will be Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, Nashville with Brother David Blase and Brother Wayne Reed officiating. Burial to follow at 3:00 P.M. at Bellwood Cemetery in Pine Bluff, AR under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
