Royce Wayne Golden

Royce Wayne Golden, age 78 of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 11, 1944 in Athens, son of the late Kelly and Gladys Golden.

Royce was a member of the church of Christ. In his career, he had been the Agency Manager for Arkansas Farm Bureau in both Pike and Miller Counties. He enjoyed hunting with family and friends and traveling with his wife, Mary Lou.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Smith Golden.

Survivors include his two sons, Michael Golden and David Golden; his daughter Christy Mars; his brother Darrell Golden; two sisters Linda Golden and Pat Maxwell; five grandchildren Charlotte Golden, Morgan Golden, Sam Mars, Olivia Mars and Zach Mars, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

A private family graveside service will be held in Saline Cemetery near Athens, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
