On May 22, 2017 the angel of silence visited the Advance Care Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas and closed the eyes of our beloved Roy "LeRoy" Hickman taking him to a place of eternal rest. Roy attended Childress High School in Nashville, Arkansas graduating class of 1962. He later married Ruby Faye Booth and to this union three children were born. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1965 and served for 12 years. At a early age he joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, Arkansas. Roy had so much love for every child he came in counter with especially his sons. In August 2012 Mine Creek Health and Rehab became his home where he was loved so dearly by all of the staff. A special employee became his daughter as Roy would say Brandy Pate whom he loved so much and she loved him back. Roy also loved to ride his bike and drink Coca Cola and listen to music. He was preceded in death by both parents Leonard Hickman and Annie Bell Muldrow and all his grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memory four sons; Aaron (Sandra) Hickman of Elizabeth City, NC; Gregory (Rosetta) Hickman of Jacksonville, FL; Kenneth (Ethel) Hickman of Mineral Springs, AR; and Quincy Hickman of Kansas City, MO; Two sisters Marlene (Terry) Cooper of Marietta, TX; and LeAnn (Joseph) Stewart of Port Arthur, TX; six grandchildren Amanda, Sharon, Aaron Jr., Georgia, and Damien. One aunt Rosa (Bob) Lord of Peoria, AZ; and one uncle James (Mattie) Briggs of Nashville, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
