Robert R Thompson

Robert R. Thompson, 82, died November 19, 2019. Robert, known as Bobby or Bobby Ray to friends and family, was born May 27, 1937 at New Edinburg, Arkansas to the late Ben and Maggie McClellan Thompson. He was the youngest of 17 and very proud to be the last of Ben's children. Bobby lived for many years in Pine Bluff and then Sheridan before spending the last few years in Murfreesboro. He is survived by his daughters Nicki Walker of Sheridan and Vicki (Gary) Anderson of Murfreesboro, two brothers Buddy (Laverne) Thompson of Warren and Victor Thompson of Little Rock, four grandchildren Cody (Palmer) and Cory Walker of Conway, Olivia Turley of Hot Springs, Dylan Turley of Murfreesboro as well as some sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Herman, Lydia, Lester, Leroy, Sherman, Elvin, Van, Vernon, Clarence, Wilbert, Myzell, Ollie, and Charlie. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Reaves Cemetery in New Edinburg, Arkansas under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Upward Basketball program at First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan, Arkansas.
