Robert Dale Stafford, 58, of Murfreesboro died Sunday, February 7, 2010 in Murfreesboro. He was born on August 8, 1951 in Rogers, Arkansas, the son of the late Fred and Chloe Stafford. He was employed as the Pike County Executive Director of ASCS from 1975 to 1978. He then began working for the US Army Corp of Engineers, Lake Greeson Field office, serving as Park Ranger; he was a member of the Murfreesboro Jaycee Chapter, and of the Murfreesboro First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Hammack and Barbara Ann Williams. Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Stafford of Murfreesboro; one son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Scott and April of Vacaville, CA; one brother, Fred Amos Stafford, Jr. of Clifty, AR; one sister, Carolyn Fellers of Inola, OK; Aunt, Fay Myers; 12 nieces and nephews including a special niece, Karen and husband, Andrew Marks; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro with Rev. Al Terrell, Rev. Brad Elrod, and Rev. Freeman Henderson officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 6PM to 8PM.
