Robert Eugene Harwell

Robert Eugene Harwell age 85 of Garland, Texas formerly of Nashville, Arkansas passed away on Monday July 31, 2017 in Garland, Texas. He was born on February 7, 1932 in Nashville, Arkansas the son of the late Melmuth Winfield and Lura Lee Holcomb Harwell. Eugene (Robert) loved music. He was known at Winters Park for always having music playing. Yanni was one of his favorites, although he enjoyed many genres such as jazz and country. He was also very proud of being a United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. Harwell was preceded in death by four brothers; Melmuth Lee Harwell, William Thomas (Tommy) Harwell, Haskell Hansford Harwell, Jerry Earnest Harwell; and one sister Mary Ellen Killian. Survivors include three sons Robert Harwell Jr. of Texarkana, AR; Carl Harwell of Jackson, GA; Gene Harwell of Ottawa, KS; two grandsons Alexander Harwell of Jackson, GA; Craig Harwell of Jackson, GA; two brothers Henry Oscar Harwell of Sachse, TX; Jack Benjamin Harwell of Bellville, TX; two sisters Elizabeth Jane (Janie) Wood of Greenwood, IN; Judy Ann Foglia of Garland, TX; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and extended family too numerous to name. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, from 6:00 P.M., to 8:00 P.M., at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 4, at Antioch Cemetery in Nashville with Bro. Bobby Neal officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
