Ricky Lee Bateman

Ricky L. Bateman, age 65, of Murfreesboro, died on Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home. He was born on November 21, 1947 in Murfreesboro, the son of the late Johnie Bateman and Willie Mae (Huddleston) Bateman. He was a 1965 graduate of Garland High School, and was Production Supervisor for Regal Research Manufacturing for over 30 years. He was loyal, dedicated and well respected among his coworkers, and he will be greatly missed by all. In addition to his father, Johnie Bateman, Ricky was preceded in death by infant son William Bateman, and one sister, Johnnie Mae Smedley. He is survived by his wife, Diana Bateman of the home; one son, John Bateman and wife, Rebecca of Dallas, TX; one daughter Stephanie McCoskey and husband, Michael of Hope; his mother, Willie Mae Bateman of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Hannah Barragan, Elijah Barragan, Gideon Barragan, and Morgan Knobloch; and one sister, Wanda Jean Jackson of Garland, TX. Numerous family, friends, and coworkers mourn his passing also. Services will be on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville with Cliff Johnson officiating.
