Richard Schooley, age 65, of Mineral Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born November 18, 1958 in Nashville, Arkansas the son of the late Charles Jack Schooley and Meveline Smith Schooley.
Richard was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, he worked for GN&A railroad for thirteen and a half years, the city of Nashville for 17 and a half years, as well as working at Tyson and Pilgrims. But his favorite enjoyment that he loved to do was hunting, painting and watching movies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Jimmie Jean Welch, his father-in-law Bubba Chambers and a brother-in-law Terry Welch.
Survivors include his loving wife of 24 1/2 years, Stacy Schooley of Mineral Springs, AR; one daughter Beth Harris and husband Kenny of Malvern, AR; three sons Charles Ducket Schooley of Mineral Springs, AR; James Richard Schooley of Mineral Springs, AR, Brandon Puryear and wife Amanda of Nashville, AR. one sister Jackie Goodson and husband Johnny of Monet, MO; grandchildren Sunni Schooley of Texarkana, Isaac Schooley, Eli Schooley both of Prescott, AR, Elliott Harris, Kaidm Harris both of Malvern, AR; mother-in-law Peggy Chambers of Nashville, AR; sisters-in-law Kelly Sanders and husband Robbie of Mineral Springs, AR, Dusty Nuttall of Nashville, AR; nieces and nephews Brylee Nutall, Alana Nutall, Amanda Richie, Andy Goodson, Robert Womack, Wendy Ellis, Hailey Needham and Kelby Meshell.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, at Liberty Cemetery, with Bro. Keith Mays officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
