Richard Alva Roberson

Richard Alva Roberson, 69, of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, died on January 8, 2012. He was born on April 2, 1942 in Lockesburg, AR, the son of the late Johnny A. and Martha Neva (Gross) Roberson. Mr.Roberson was a truck driver, Chief of the Cottonshed Volunteer Fire Department at one time, and member of Liberty Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Florence Dean Mathis; and one brother, Edward (Happy) Roberson. Survivors include his wife, Jennie Sue of the home; one son, David Allen Strong and wife, Tina of Mineral Springs, AR; one brother, Robert Roberson of Texarkana, TX; one sister, Dorothy Stone of Mineral Springs, AR; and 2 grandchildren, Amber Ball and Rayne Strong. A host of other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Bluff Springs Cemetery with Elroy Stewart and Jurd Weeks, officiating under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville, AR. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3: 00 P.M.
