Reuben Ray Reed 82 of Nashville, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in Nashville, Arkansas. He was born on July 14, 1934 in Sardis, Arkansas the son of the late William "Bill" Andrew and Frances Tollett Reed. Mr. Reed was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nashville and served on the administrative board as well as class treasurer for the men's Bible class. He was a manager of the West Department Store for many years. Reuben also was a maintenance worker and school bus driver for Nashville Public Schools. He was preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Reed DeWitt; two brothers Alford and Thomas Reed. Survivors include his wife of over fifty-six years JoJo Owens Reed of Nashville, AR; a son-in-law Larry DeWitt of Hot Springs, AR; granddaughter Madison Rae DeWitt of Hot Springs, AR; step granddaughter Kameron DeWitt of Ft. Smith, AR; a great granddaughter Gia DeWitt of Ft. Smith, AR; one brother Troy Reed of Wheaton, IL; three nieces Peggy Lyons of Carol Stream, IL; Debbie Brown of Georgetown, KY; Sherri Harper of Rockford, MI; two nephews Bill Reed of Rainbow City, AL; and Don Reed of Algonquin, IL Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, July 31 at Latimer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 1, at the First United Methodist Church in Nashville, with Bro. James Harris officiating, burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
