Rebecca Pickett

May 13, 1952 — April 15, 2024

Rebecca Lynn Dildy Pickett, 71, of Nashville, Arkansas passed peacefully at home surrounded by love and prayers.

Rebecca was born May 13, 1952, to Billie Fern and William T. Dildy.  As the oldest of five children, Becky often found herself caring for and even getting on to, her siblings while her parents were working.  As a natural loving, caring, person, Rebecca worked in many of the local nursing homes in the area.  Aid, maintenance tech, laundry maintenance supervisor, she was always there to help things run smoothly for her patients.  At home, she had a direct hand in raising all of her nieces and nephews at one point or another during their lives.  Though unable to have children of her own, Becky helped raise the children of her family, with an open heart, firm beliefs, and loving nature.   A bit of a tomboy, Becky could out hunt, out shoot, and mechanic better than her brothers (and most men in general).   She was beloved by all who knew her.   She was always there to ease fears, mend broken hearts, and give sound advice.

Though her life was not easy, and could often times be downright turbulent, she still pushed and fought until the bittersweet end.

Those that knew her loved her.   Those that didn’t would have as well.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her husband, whom she was devoted to, Franklin Pickett, her parents Billie Fern Dildy, William T. Dildy, step mother Shirley Dildy, and two brothers William E. (Buzzy) Dildy and Thomas A. Dildy.

Survivors include her brother Robert L. Dildy and wife Reeca, sister Charlette Creel, sister Frances M. Dawson and partner Curtis W. Smith, sisters in law Robin Wilson, Billie Jo Dildy; nephews James D. Dildy, Dustin Merchant, William Brady Dildy, Aaron Dildy and Joshua R. Dildy.  Nieces Letha D. Dew, LeBre Dildy Jordan, Karina Dildy, Ashley R. Hare, Kimber L. Turner, and Robyn D. Colburn, and thirty nine great nieces and nephews.

A family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
