Raymond G Schwope

Raymond G. Schwope, age 82, of Nashville, Arkansas died on Monday, January 23, 2023 in Nashville, Arkansas.  He was born March 3, 1940 in Hondo, Texas the son of the late Richard Charles Schwope and Pauline Schmidt Schwope.

Raymond was a carpenter by trade and built many homes in the area alongside his brothers.  He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, making knives, and searching for arrowheads.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Paula Schwope and his sister Lana Young.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Schwope of Nashville, AR; one son Brandon Schwope and wife Jessica of Ft. Smith, AR; three brothers Richard, Ronnie, and Robert Schwope all of Nashville, AR; two sisters Crystal Schwope and Diane Reeves both of Nashville, AR; two grandchildren Amelia and Connor Schwope both of Ft. Smith, AR; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, at Corinth Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
