Phyllis Gail (Byassee) Neff

Phyllis Gail Byassee Neff, age 68 of Delight, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Hot Springs. She was born on June 24, 1952 in Herlong, California to the late Herald and Beluah McLaughlin Byassee.

Phyllis was known by many as Mom or Grandma. She loved getting to know people and never met a stranger. She was a caregiver at a nursing home for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, as well as hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Neff, Sr., her brother Wayne Byassee and a sister Linda Little.

Survivors include her five children Carroll Routon, Connie Gade, David Neff, Jr., Heather Stangler and husband Shannon and Beckie Neff; two sisters Jo Jo Saterwhite and Jean Sillivan and husband Jim; nineteen grandchildren including Steven, Crystal, Carlos, Ricky, Chelsea, Jesse, Angie, Melissa, Michelle, Gerry, Leo, Glen, Chaz, Jacob, Tony, Timmy, Shawn, Haley, and Lacey; thirty-six greatgrandchildren, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.
