Ollie Jo Wakefield

Ollie Jo Wakefield, age 87, of Nashville, died on November 8, 2013 in Nashville, AR. She was born on September 8, 1926 in Nashville, the daughter of Ollie T. Wakefield and Minnie Ethel Wakefield. She was in the first graduating class of Registered Nurses at St. Joseph�s Hospital in Hot Springs, before retiring she served as Director of Nursing at St. Joseph�s Hospital in Hot Springs, Howard Memorial Hospital and Colonial and Guest House Nursing Homes in Nashville. She was a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Wakefield. Survivors include: one sister, Mary A. Dildy of Nashville; sister-in-law, Jackie Wakefield of Nashville; nieces, Jacqueline Van Kirk(Don) of Nashville, and Amanda Lathrop(Rodney) of Redwater, TX; nephews, Thom Wakefield(Gina) of Texarkana, AR, and David Wakefield(Tabatha) of Nashville; 2 great-nieces, Summer Lathrop and Laurel Wakefield; and 2 great-nephews, Jonathan Van Kirk and Seth Lathrop. Memorial services will be on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville with Brother Lee Ligans officiating.
