Myra Ruth Kennedy

Myra Ruth Kennedy 95, of Mineral Springs, formerly of Pocasset, Oklahoma, passed from this world to Heaven on September 26, 2019, at 9:15 A.M., in Wadley hospital in Texarkana. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude George Kennedy (CG), her second husband, Thomas Alvin Kennedy (TA), one grandson Jimmy Don Kennedy, her parents Pink White and Gertrude Steuart White, brothers Levi White, SFC Henry Ford White, Rev. Clyde A. White, and a sister Dena Roberts. She is survived by her children, George Kennedy, Donnel Lee Kennedy and wife Elizabeth, Karen Kennedy Hogan and husband John, life long friend and caretaker, Helen Icenhower, and one sister Emma Lou Frazier, three grandsons, four granddaughters, nine great grandsons, six great granddaughters, one great-great granddaughter, one great-great grandson, several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She lived in Oklahoma for thirty-two years coming back to the old home place for her last seven years of this life. She was a life long member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, being the oldest and most senior member of the church. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, September 28, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, September 29, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Bro. Archie Phillips and Wayne Gaddis officiating, burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Hwy. 27 Mineral Springs. Pallbearers will be Randy Kennedy, Micheal Kennedy, Wesley Kennedy, Lloyd Ashley, Sammy White, and Kenneth Icenhower.
