Mildred Lorene Nelson

Mildred Lorene Nelson, age 90, of Delight, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 22, 1927 in Streetman, Texas the daughter of the late Joe and May Padgett. She was a member of the Golden Acres Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas. During her career she was employed as an executive secretary in the Kress Building in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husbands Charles Douglas Ray and Jack Edward Nelson. Siblings Sara Ellen Carley, Joe B. Padgett, Essie Mae Padgett, Sam Thomas Padgett, Clara Dean Wood, James Albert Padgett, Zela Loreta (Bo) Campbell, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her step children David Ray and wife Melanie, Jack Nelson, and Kandy Riddle, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews, and many friends. Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 7, at Campbell Cemetery. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
