Mildred Copeland Jackson

Mildred Copeland Jackson, 89, of Murfreesboro died Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Texarkana, TX. She was born January 11, 1921 at DeKalb, TX to the late Millard Escew Copeland and Mattie Mona Wray Copeland. She was married to John Hall Jackson on April 6, 1946. They met while both were working at Lone Star Defense plant during World War II. They had 55 years together before he died on December 26, 2001. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by one brother, Edgar Copeland of DeKalb, TX; three sisters, Ola Cunningham of DeKalb, TX, Iva Nell Campbell of Alvin, TX and Ruby Dunn of DeKalb, TX. She is survived by one sister, Clara Hood of Texarkana, TX and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives, including special cousins Ferdia and Cecil House of Texarkana, AR. Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro with burial to follow at Murfreesboro Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.
