Meveline Schooley, 81, of Mineral Springs, AR died Monday, July 23, 2012. She was born July 27, 1930, in Lake Village, AR. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and loved to quilt, can, and being a homemaker. She made the best chocolate pies and was actively involved with the Senior Citizen Center. She was preceded in death by brothers, John Henry Smith, Clinton Smith and Sonny Smith and one sister, Annabelle Gicante. Mrs. Schooley is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack Schooley of Mineral Springs, AR; one son, Richard Schooley of Mineral Springs, AR; two daughter, Jackie Goodson of Center Point, AR and Jimmie Jean Welch of Mineral Springs, AR; brothers, Herman Lee Smith of Cabot, AR, Jim Smith of Pine Bluff, AR, and Dootsey Smith of Little Rock, AR; sisters, Wilma Brimer of Little Rock, AR, Betsy Alred of Pine Bluff, AR; grandchildren, Wendy Walston, Beth Schooley, Charles Ducket Schooley, Robert Goodson Womack, James Richard Schooley, Andy Goodson and Amanda Goodson Ritchie. Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 26, at Liberty Cemetery, with Bros. Bruce Short and Tim Freel officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
