Melba Faye (Draper) Kennedy

Melba Faye Kennedy, age 82 of Murfreesboro, passed away on January 3, 2020 in Perryville, Arkansas. She was born on November 22, 1938 in Daisy to the late Ebb and Arthy Mack Draper.

Mrs. Kennedy was a member of the Murfreesboro Church of Christ. She owned a daycare and kept many children over the years. She always had a long waiting list of children to keep.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lewis “Bud” Kennedy and her son Michael Charles Kennedy.

Survivors include her son Alan Kennedy and wife Shawna; daughter Viki Reynolds and husband Justin; her grandchildren Alex Lewis Kennedy, Emily Faye Posey, and William Jarod Posey; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro. Interment will follow in Mount Joy Cemetery.
