Mary Faye Riggs

Mary Faye Riggs, 90, of Nashville, AR went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 26, 2012. She was born November 4, 1921, in Lamar County, TX, the daughter of the late John Luther Cheatham and Tennie Slaton Cheatham. Faye was a member of First Baptist Church for 56 years.During that time, she was very involved in the Childrenâ�™s Ministry. She was a member of the Copeland Sunday School Class. Faye was a loving Mother, grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Riggs, her daughter, Deborah Riggs Puett; her parents; two sisters and one brother. Survivors include her son, David Riggs and wife, Cindy of Nashville; one son-in-law, June Puett of Mesquite, TX; one sister, Frances Skidmore and husband Fred of Dallas, TX; three granddaughters, Ashley Riggs of Nashville, Amanda Puett of Dallas, TX, Lindsey Knipper and husband Matt of Lufkin, TX; one grandson Jared Riggs of Nashville, AR; one great-grandson, Jace Knipper of Lufkin,TX and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 10:00 A.M., First Baptist Church in Nashville,AR with Bro. David Blasé and Bro. Bob Young officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery in Nashville under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, October 29, 6:00 â�" 8:00 P.M.
