Mary Opal Metz

Mary Opal Metz, 94, of Mena, AR, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at a Mena nursing home. She was born October 9, 1915, at Dierks, AR, the daughter of the late Charles Marion and Minnie Virginia Walters Gaddis. She was a Baptist; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mrs. Metz was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Metz; brothers, Bill Gaddis, T. Gaddis, twin brother, J.O. Gaddis, and one sister, Lurl Mae Lands. She is survived by one brother, C.V. Gaddis of Dierks, AR; two sisters, Ina Call of Clovis, NM and Leah Cooper of Salpulpa, OK; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 12, at Greens Chapel Cemetery, with Bro. Bobby Neal officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
