Martin Eugene Stanley

Martin Eugene Stanley, age 89, of Ozan, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in De Queen, Arkansas.  He was born June 27, 1934 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas the son of the late Brack and Clara Smith Stanley.

Mr. Stanley was a farmer and enjoyed being on the farm and working.  He also served on the Hempstead County A.S.C.S committee for many years.  Martin was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a proud member of the NRA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart Barbara June Short Stanley; two brothers Brack Stanley Jr., Tony Stanley; four sisters Rose Powell, Jean Waddle, Blanch Smith, and Mildred Green.

Survivors include two sons Marty Stanley and wife Becky of Ozan, AR, Arian Stanley of Nashville, AR; one sister Ann Watkins of Mt. Ida, AR; grandchildren Chad Stanley, Marta Stanley, Jamie Daniel, Brent Stanley, and Jared Stanley; as well as thirteen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, at Ozan Cemetery in Bingen, with Bro. Bruce Short officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
