Martha Louise Smith

Martha Louise Smith 84 of Dierks, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born on March 19, 1933 in New Hope, Arkansas the daughter of the late Noel Earl and Marjorie Irene Coffman Rodgers. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church in New Hope, Arkansas. She worked for Weyerhauser for many years in Dierks, Arkansas retiring in 1990. She was preceded in death by the love of her life her husband of 63 years Ben Thomas Smith, and a brother Thomas Earl Rodgers. Survivors include two sons Mike Smith and wife Teresa of Texarkana, TX; Alan Smith and wife Laura of De Queen, AR; a daughter Ramona Mascarenas and husband Jimmy of Star of the West, AR; a brother Jimmy Rodgers and wife Gail of Centre, AL; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. As well as a special friend Evelyn Wimbs of Dierks, AR. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Kenny Fant officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M., until service time at Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
