Martha Fern Happy

Martha Fern Happy, age 92 of Delight, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born on September 8, 1926 in Delight, Arkansas the daughter of the late Hugh and Thelma Boyd Kelley. She was a member of the Delight Church of Christ. Mrs. Happy loved her family and especially her grandchildren, greats and great grands. She loved the outdoors. Some of her hobbies were: working in her flower beds, raising a vegetable garden, canning vegetables and making jelly. In her younger days she'd love to squirrel hunt. She loved doing oil painting and crafts. She loved feeding the humming birds and all birds, squirrels and never turned a stray cat away. She'd go through 40 pounds of scratch feed every two weeks feeding the birds. Most of all She loved fishing. She could fish all day and not get tired. She was happy. Her favorite fish to catch was catfish. Mrs. Happy was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Happy, two brothers John Hugh Kelley and Boyd Kelley. Survivors include two sons Tommy Happy and wife Nancy of Hot Springs, AR; Danny Happy of Delight, AR; two daughters Judy Fisher and husband Buddy of Royal, AR; Pam Campbell and husband Tommy of Billstown, AR; one sister Patricia Simmons of Malvern, AR; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 28, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 29, at the Delight Church of Christ, with Wallace Alexander and Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Delight Cemetery Fund.
