Margaret Laverne Johnson

Margaret Laverne Johnson, 89, of Texarkana, passed from this life on Friday, October 29, 2010. She was born June 10, 1921 in Delight, AR, the daughter of the late William Edgar and Nora Gilleyn Wilson. She was a devoted wife and mother to her family and friends and a member of Delight Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfia Durward Johnson, 3 brothers; Hershall Wilson, Joe Wilson and Jim Wilson; and 1 sister, Mary Lamb. She is survived by one son, Larry Johnson and Reba of Texarkana, AR; 2 sisters, Eloise Cotton of Texarkana, AR and Sue Johnson of Delight, AR; 2 grandchildren; Bonnie Riley and Steve of Princeton, TX and Tina Garcia and David of Nashville, AR; 6 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 1, 2010 at Delight Methodist Church, with Bros. Jim and Freeman Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the funeral home.
