Lois King

Lois King, age 91, of Nashville, died on Monday, January 21, 2013 in Nashville. She was born on October 22, 1921 in Salt Springs, AR, the daughter of the late James Adison Hartness and Rena (Rhodes) Hartness. She was a homemaker and member of the New Mt.Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Beedie King; 2 grandsons, Michael Hall and Lance Bowden; 3 brothers, Otis Hartness, Elbert Hartness, and Elmer Hartness; 2 sisters, Lottie Tinkes and Velma Lee Hartness; and 1step-son, Jim King. She is survived by one son, Alton Parson and wife, LaVeda of Ashdown, AR; two daughters, Wilma Bowden and husband, Jerry of Nashville and Ima Semmler of Mineral Springs; one step daughter, Doris Sillivan of Nixa, MO; one sister, Vel Bevill and husband, Hershel of Nashville; 17 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends mourn her passing. Graveside services will be on January 24, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Mineral Springs Cemetery with Brother Ben Jones officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
