Lois Mae Jones, 86, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Nashville. She was born on April 28, 1931 in Nathan, Arkansas the daughter of the late Ben William Cornish and Myrtle Lola Floyd Cornish. Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro. In addition, she spent many hours volunteering at the Senior Citizens Center where she sang in the Home Town Boys band with her husband Sonny who played the harmonica. Lois was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend. She had a big heart and a generous spirit. Known for her hospitality as well as for her cooking and baking, she kept family and friends supplied with good food and good conversation. Lois is preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Maurice "Sonny" Jones, her brother John Paul Cornish, and a sister Bonnie Giroux. Survivors include her daughter Robbie Anderson and husband Cliff of Johnson City, TN.; her son Thomas Jones of Murfreesboro, AR; her sister Mary Jo Woods of Murfreesboro, AR; a grandson Casey Jones Anderson of Chattanooga, TN.; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro. Services will be Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. at the First Christian Church with Bro. Rob Evans officiating.
