Karen Ann Fomby Williams, age 66, 0f Nashville, Arkansas, passed on to be with the Lord, Friday, October 9, 2009. She was born January 21, 1943 in Magnolia, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Alton and Johnnie Mae Jarvis Fomby of Magnolia. Karen had a kind and generous heart and embraced all those around her. She was an exceptionally devoted wife and extremely loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Nashville, AR. She was very civic-minded and enjoyed helping her community. She served with the local Hospital Auxiliary and was a lifetime member of the Nashville Junior Auxiliary. Karen was Principal of the Nashville Elementary School and had worked there for almost 35 years. She touched the lives of many with her compassionate and giving nature. She took a personal interest in each and every student that crossed her path. Survivors include her husband, of 46 years, Larry Williams of Nashville; one son and daughter-in-law Greg and Donna Williams of Decatur, TX; one daughter and son-in-law Gwen and John Sparks of Nashville; one sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Alan DeRamus of Lafayette, LA; seven grandchildren; one niece and nephew; seven great nieces and nephews and a host of very close friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Nashville, with burial to follow at 4:00 P.M. in Barlow Cemetery, in Magnolia, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 5:00 â�" 8:00 P. M. Monday, October 12, 2009, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
