John W. Sipes

John W. Sipes, 78, of Nashville, AR, died Friday, February 26, 2010 in Texarkana, TX. He was born on August 27, 1931 in Columbus, AR, the son of the late Joe Herbert and Sibbie (Taylor) Sipes. Mr. Sipes was owner of Sipes Plumbing, a 42nd degree mason, on the Nashville City Council, member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and attended the Chapel Hill Church of Christ with his wife, Glenda. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sipes was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert (Bud) Sipes. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Glenda of Nashville; two sons, James Michael Sipes of Saratoga, AR and John Mark Cox and wife T. Lynn of Ozan, AR; two daughters, Judith Tolleson and husband, Ed of Paragould, AR and Rose Cox Alfano and husband, Tom of Chandler, AZ; two sisters, Bonnie Jo Bramhall of Austin, TX and Linda (Dimmer) Evans and husband, Ralph of Springtown, TX; two uncles, Claude Taylor of Wichita Falls, TX and Homer Taylor of Warner Robins, GA; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
