John W. Floyd, 87, of Nashville, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at a Nashville hospital. He was born August 15, 1922, at Center Point, AR, the son of the late John C. and Mary Pearl Shofner Floyd. He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. He was a Army Veteran. Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Floyd and one sister, Martha Stevens. He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Petty and husband, Cliff, of Nashville, AR; one sister, Thressa Beene of Nashville, AR; three grandchildren, April McFarland and husband, Mike, of Bryant, AR; J.C. Petty and fiancé, Mandy Bearden of Conway, AR and Bryce Petty and wife, Stacia, of Antoine, AR; two great-grandchildren Ethan and Andrew John McFarland both of Bryant, AR; a number of nephews, nieces and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with David Williams and Rick Lawson officiating, burial in Restland Memorial Park, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
