She was born May 2, 1937 in Texarkana, AR, the daughter of the late C.H. â�œTedâ₝ and Mary Lena Brewer Purtell. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband John Roberson of Nashville, AR; a son Robert Wayne of Scott, AR; one brother John Brewer; two nieces Jennifer Purtell of Caledonia, MS; and Brook Jenkins of Laurel MS; two nephews Taylor Purtell of Steens, MS; and John Robert Schirmer of Nashville, AR.
