JIMMIE JEAN TOLLETT WHITE, 88, of Nashville, passed away peacefully Monday morning, November 13, 2017, in Nashville. Mrs. White was born on December 16, 1928, in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, to the late N.R. and Chloe Humphries Tollett. The family moved to Nashville and she began first grade at Nashville Schools. Her successful business was a staple in the community for many years, and she used her talents to give back to the community she loved. "J.J.," as she was known by her many friends, will forever be remembered for her magnetic personality, quick wit, and most importantly, her heart to serve. From supporting area fundraisers, to starting a community-wide Christmas Card drive for residents in area nursing homes, she brought joy and cheer to so many. She was honored to be recognized as the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year in 2000. Mrs. White was also a life-long member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she served as the Children's Choir Director, Pianist, and Sunday School Teacher.
