Jerry L. Sweeden, 58, of Murfreesboro, AR, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Little Rock, AR. He was born on July 16, 1953 in Nathan, AR, the son of the late Merlie â�œBudâ Sweeden and Wanda Jean Floyd. Jerry was a retired U.S. Corp Engineer and Water and Sewer Operator for Lake Greeson; on the Chain Gang for the Murfreesboro High School football games for 15 years; a 32nd degree mason for the Pike County Masonic Lodge; and member of the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. In addition to his father, Bud, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Billy Lauterbach. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Ann Sweeden of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Brandy Michelle Sweeden Dixon, and her husband, Kris; his mother, Wanda Jean Sweeden of Murfreesboro; one sister, Shirley Lauterbach of Murfreesboro; and one grandpup, Roscoe. Several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 20, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro with Brother James Wainscott officiating. Burial will follow in Delight Cemetery in Delight, AR.
