Janice Marie Womack

Janice Marie Womack, age 79 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in Hot Springs. She was born on January 4, 1943 in Murfreesboro to the late Clarence and Ottis Hughes Self.

Mrs. Womack was a member of the Pleasant Home Church of Christ. She enjoyed puzzles, cross stitching, watching hummingbirds and accumulating hummingbird collectables. She attended Draughon’s Business College in Little Rock and later began a career in bookkeeping for the Anthony’s. She worked from 1979 to present.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Cliff Womack, a grandson Daniel Stone, a brother Bill Self, and an infant sister, Gail Self.

Survivors include her daughters, Selina Russell and Starla Womack; one grandson Dusty Stone, one granddaughter Courtney Rather; two great grandchildren Layne and Addie Cox; two brothers Keith Self (Pat) and Sterl Self; one sister Beryl Branch (Harry) all of Murfreesboro; a sister-in-law Sonia Gonzales of Irving, Texas; two bonus great grandchildren Emily and Travis Reed of Murfreesboro; as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Pleasant Home Church of Christ with Robert Womack officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pleasant Home Cemetery Fund.
