James F. Williams at the age of 87 has departed this world on April 21, 2015 and climbed aboard the peace train to the destination of his heavenly Father. James was born May 16, 1927 to the proud parents of James F. Williams, Sr., and Gertrude Williams. He was the oldest sibling to Dorothy, John and Martha Williams. James hailed from Iola, Kansas and attended the First Christian Church as he was growing up. He was active in band, football and hot cars. He loved music, hunting and fishing. While in the Navy during WWII, he met and married his wife, Helen Callaghan. James was a very loving family man and was father to five children including James B. Williams (departed), Michael J. Williams, Barbara L. Bartlett, Mary Baxter, and Robert J. Williams. The family line also includes seventeen grandchildren and two that have departed, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. James provided well for his family and in recent years was active in the Murfreesboro Senior Center. He and wife Helen have resided at the Montgomery County Nursing Home for the past four years where they have been well cared for. They were members of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Nashville, AR, and had a strong faith in the Lord. He was loved by family and friends, and he will be missed and remembered by all. Graveside service will be on Saturday April 25, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Murfreesboro Cemetery in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
