James Edward Linzy Jr.

James Edward Linzy Jr., age 65, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas died on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his home in Murfreesboro.  He was born August 12, 1955 in Memphis, Texas the son of the late James Edward Linzy Sr. and Ida Wooten Linzy.

Mr. Linzy was a proud United States Air Force Veteran.  He retired after 30 plus years as an engineer from General Dynamics.  Family and friends were his top priority.  He willingly took care of family during their time of need, always putting himself second.  Digging in the dirt, planting, and harvesting was his passion in retirement.  His favorite past time was taking pictures of wildlife and teasing his beloved wife.  Mr. Linzy’s thirst for life and joy will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Dailene Linzy.

Survivors include his wife Deborah Linzy of Murfreesboro, AR; children James Linzy III and wife Gisela of Granbury, TX, Jessica Linzy of Granbury, TX. Keri Labbe of Mansfield, TX, Keli Heath and husband Steven of Mansfield, TX; two brothers Jay Linzy and wife Natalie of Paron, AR, Anthony Linzy and wife Debbie of Burleson, TX; one sister Diane Gerstner and husband Len of Dallas, TX;  seven grandchildren, nine nieces and nephews, as well as a number of friends.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Saturday, November 14, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 15, at Roy Cemetery, with his sister Diane Gerstner officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
