James Loyd Lane

James Loyd Lane, 75, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Texarkana, TX. He was born on July 12, 1939 in Murfreesboro, the son of the late Delbert "Dink" Lane and Audie (Lockwood) Lane. Mr. Lane was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and member of the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Wanda Jean Crow, Myrece Greer-Yeager, Elizabeth Bailey, and Joyce Anderson Maroon; and three brothers, Billy Joe Lane, Merell Lane, and O'Dell Lane. Survivors include: his wife, Katherine Lane of Murfreesboro; one son, Darren Lane and wife, Audra of Blossom, TX; one daughter, Jamie Cromer and husband, Clayton of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Codi, Lacey, Sara, and Emily; great grandchildren, Gracie, Dixie, and Draven; and one sister, Barbara Stuart and husband, Dearl of Dierks. A number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro with Brother Bob James and Brother Rick Greene officiating. Burial to follow in Murfreesboro Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, at the funeral home, Murfreesboro.
