James H. Lamb, 74 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away on August 15, 2014 at his home. He was born on December 10, 1939 in Pike County, the son of the late Hobart and Mildred Beavert Lamb. Mr. Lamb was a member of the Saline Church of Christ. He truly loved his family, grandkids, great-grandkids, and one of his favorite pass times was playing old country music with his brother and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Mary Elizabeth Edwards. Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years Martha Lamb of Murfreesboro, AR; Children Jeannie Almond (David) of Hope, AR; Janet Dunson (Kirk) of Center Point, AR; Randy Lamb (Penny) of Murfreesboro, AR; Alma Barnes (Mark) of Murfreesboro, AR; Jeannette Carver (Jimmy) of Nashville, AR; one sister Shirley McKinnon of Delight, AR; two brothers David Lamb (Margie) of Lewisville, AR; Mike Lamb (Belle) of Delight, AR; six granddaughters Amanda Rather (Jacob), Kristan Parks, Jazzmyn Carver, Savanah Carver, Cidny Tipton, Randi Erin Lamb; three great-grandchildren Riken Parks, Mason Parks, Parker Rather, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and all of his special friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Saline Church of Christ with Roger Cox and Tommy Mounts officiating, burial will follow in Saline Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
